Primroses
This part of Devon has primroses almost like weeds, you see whole fields full of them, these are the first few on some garden steps, they always remind me spring insn't far away..

Marty
Marty retired here some years ago with kissing spine and feet issues. He lives out all winter without any rugs and as you can see thrives considering he is full TB!
Spot the mini shetland!
Selwyn on the left is 27 and Little Charlie on the right is 37 this year.. They both graze happily all winter with the main herd eating ad-lib haylage but in summer Charlie has to be moved to less grass. He is totally sound, appears free from any arthritis and often can be seen haring round with the youngsters. The other gelding is looking his age round his head with grey hairs but keeps well and also plays rug biting with others.

Magical morning
It was such a glorious February day I decided to escape and walk Harry on Teignmouth beach. It isn't the prettiest of beaches having coarse sandstone type sand and lots of breakwater barriers, but the sun shone, it was warm enough to dispenese with a jacket, and we had great fun flinging the ball far out for him to fetch.Afterwards I sat on the prom drinking a hot chocolate and admiring the sea...
I am so lucky to have this within driving distance...

riding the youngsters again.
Despite vowing never to get on a four year old again after smashing his heel last year my husband is back doing just that. This is a lovely little Welsh Cob mare who wasn't keen on standing still for a pic. as she was raring to go on a hack.
Diamond
After her long lay off whilst her entire hoof crack grew out she is now back in regular work. Seen here with a friend who was acting as escort for the just backed four year old , she spooked more than the baby horse...

Does anyone remember the orphan foal we hand reared?She's two this year and going through the ugly stage!
