Some green coming ready for spring

the grass is already starting to grow here as you can see from the greening up of the Deer Park. In the middle of the picture is the bottom shelter, tucked away out of the wind.

Hoping against hope I would open the gate into the woods, but no chance, we have badger sets everywhere and it's too dangerous.

Luna

yes another one who prefers to wander round the mud rather than use the grass fields.. We don't normally get mud here but it's been so wet recently.

this is one of the retired horses, why is it when they have at least 50 acres of good clean grassy pasture they choose to stand in the muddiest place on the whole farm?
She uses the bottom shelter a lot so doesn't need a rug.

Getting there!

Nearly six thousand pounds' worth of concrete, new roof lights etc and they are starting to look like stables.. It's a huge undertaking on your own but C's Dad has ploughed on after some initial help from her and her brother with the basic structure.

these are incredibly thick and strong, look very like wood too.

Spare space

This can have a stable in it, or be a feedroom/shavings store.

Chocolate December 2007

He'd just been washed off after some fast work, he's still pretty fit despite having a holiday after the season finished.
He's going hunting on Christmas eve, the idea being as he will get so worked up with them just up the road from here, he might as well join in rather than get stressed out..
