I planted around 10 trees here and on a grassy area along the drive, hoping to grow my own fruit. Last year the grubs got in them and they didn't grow big enough, this time I have banded them and hope for some fruit big enough to eat!I also grow peaches, raspberries, cherries, redcurrants, strawberries and have a tiny plastic greenhouse with tomatoes, cucumber and runner beans. At this point I should confess the squirrels eat the cherries and redcurrants every damn year despite netting both.
