William growing like a weed!
He's going to be out of this rug next month at this rate, he behaves like a normal yearling now, playing and biting his friends.
New stable complex.
This is our new complex which is in one side of a massive building. We made the end box a half door as well as a conventional sliding door inside so the occupant could look out too. At night we close the main doors and leave the other end open .
This poor gate has been replace at least twice since we moved here, for some reason horses either jump through it or chew it...Time for number three with tape on the top this time I think...

Talk about handsome is 'as handsome does...
Oh dear, looks a bit prison-like!
Our house is covered in spring and summer first by clematis and honeysuckle, then wisteria then roses.. That means lots of support for it to grow up so husband has fixed some strong trellis for it to climb up, however from this pic it looks like Acatraz with far too many squares everywhere.
I think I'll have to find an alternative to trellis!

Diamond
This lovely mare is by Chocolate ex an Ambertson daughter, she is very talented, won her two Un-Aff ODE's and was placed in her frist BE. She would have been placed in her second had her rider not gone the wrong side of the finishing tape and had to turn round incurring time faults!
Now back in work after a hoof crack grew out she will probably do a little SJ then be loaned or sold to another rider as she is a little small for her owner.

Spot the mini shetland!
Selwyn on the left is 27 and Little Charlie on the right is 37 this year.. They both graze happily all winter with the main herd eating ad-lib haylage but in summer Charlie has to be moved to less grass. He is totally sound, appears free from any arthritis and often can be seen haring round with the youngsters. The other gelding is looking his age round his head with grey hairs but keeps well and also plays rug biting with others.

Magical morning
It was such a glorious February day I decided to escape and walk Harry on Teignmouth beach. It isn't the prettiest of beaches having coarse sandstone type sand and lots of breakwater barriers, but the sun shone, it was warm enough to dispenese with a jacket, and we had great fun flinging the ball far out for him to fetch.
Afterwards I sat on the prom drinking a hot chocolate and admiring the sea...
I am so lucky to have this within driving distance...
